Js hoisin sirloin lettuce wrap
Serves three with 2/ea. Takes 35 mins
Cost: About $3 for 2 wraps
1/2 TBL sesame oil
1 TBL minced garlic
1/2 C onion chopped
1.5 TBL soy
1/4 tea cayenne
8 oz sirloin- cut into slices
Let oil heat, add all but soy. Cook until pink, add soy.
1.5 TBL hoisin sauce
Add, toss, serve.
1 pkg Knorr white cheddar queso rice
Make as reco'd (makes 2C)
Use 3 TBL/wrap
1 butter lettuce
3 steak pcs
3 TBL rice
radish sticks/carrot sticks
few slivered almonds
2 wraps about 6 points
NOTE: I got a deal on sirloin by buying meat you need to cook by tomorrow ($9/lb is cheaper than lunch meat.)

.8 lbs ground sirloin
2 TBL Italian seasoned bread crumbs
3/4 TBL williams sonoma pizza seasoning
3 TBL pizza shredded cheese
3 shakes pepper/salt/garlic powder
1 TBL Worcester
1 TBL soy sauce
Mix. I use med cookie scoop to make 16.
1 TBL EVOO
Cook until done. Serve. Top with parsley if desired.
J's cheesy beef & bean goulash (v.4)
makes 4 C, takes ~30mins : about 5 points/cup
1/3 C onion- chopped
2.5 TBL minced garlic
1/2 TBL EVOO
Cook a couple mins.
8 oz ground sirloin
1 tea chili powder (med.)
1/4 tea crushed red pepper
Cook all over med heat until meat is light pink. Break up meat while sauteing. Spoon off grease (sometimes I don’t b/c there isnt much).
Part 3- same skillet
1 C warm water
3 oz (about 2/3C)wheat elbow noodles
2 regular size bay leaves
Increase heat to boil, then reduce heat to medium.
1/2 C fresh tomatoes - chopped, if necessary: crush in pan when they get hot (I use beefsteak )
14.5oz can org. fire roasted diced tomatoes
1/2 tea celtic salt
6 grinds pepper
3/4 TBL red hot sauce
1 can (15 oz) red kidney beans - drained/rinsed
1 TBL worcestire
1 TBL soy sauce
1/4 tea stevia extract
13 grinds Mccormicks® steakhouse seasoning
Cook until most of water is gone on a low/med simmer. Take out bay leaves, add cheese and serve.
2.5 oz american cheese - put in small pcs mix in until melted.
You really only need one cup!! Wait 20 mins, if youre still hungry, have a little more. Part of changing habits are starting with portion sizes.
I dont really like to use canned tomatoes, but I dont always have time. Fresh is always better! The taste is preserved and hasnt had multiple processing. Make this on a lazy Sunday! This is something that you could freeze and have ready vs. buying frozen dishes or for your lunch over the week.
Js homemade bolognese sauce
Makes 3c. Takes about an hour.
8 oz ground sirloin- antibiotic/hormone free
1 tea organic italian seasoning (I used Aldi)
Cook and crumble while cooking. Take burger out and set aside. Discard the fat, but don’t clean the skillet.
1 TBL EVOO
1/2 C yellow onion- chopped
1 TBL + 1 tea minced garlic
Cook a few mins until fragrant. Add rest.
1/4C red wine
This will take up all the seasoning in the pan, let it simmer down to a TBL.
1.5 lbs or about 3 beefsteak tomatoes- chop into small pieces (I keep skins on, many benefits in skin)
Add to pan, as they heat, u can use a potato masher maybe 3x to crush.
1/2 C water
1/4C tomato paste
1 tea italian seasoning
1 TBL dried parsley
1 tea dried basil
3/4 tea dried mediterranean oregano
2 small bayleaves
3/4 tea stevia extract powder
3/4 tea celtic salt
2 tea Williams Sonoma pizza seasoning (this contains crushed red pepper)
Simmer, then add beef, simmer at least 15 mins on low.
TOTAL SAUCE/CUP: 5.2 points
